Yes. While the majority of our clients are law firms and corporate entities that are locating parties to litigation, we also conduct locate investigations for private citizens.

We will not provide locate person services which violate non-contact and restraining orders issued by Canadian courts.

We conduct legal locate investigations. If you are unable to substantiate or explain clearly why you are trying to locate a person, and we feel that there could be a risk to an individual; we will enforce our policy of “Right of First Contact”.

In these cases, we will make first contact with the individual being located and request their authorization for the release of their personal information to the client. The person being located will always have the right of keeping their information private and as such we will honor that right and not release that information to the client.

This policy ensures the safety and privacy of all parties. We reserve the right to refuse service if conditions are not met.

Timeframes vary depending on information and complexity.

Typical investigations range from 24 hours to 10 business days. We will provide you with updates throughout the investigation. If your investigation is proving to be challenging and taking longer than expected, we will advise immediately.

Yes, all cases are handled with strict confidentiality.

Our investigations are very dependent on the quality of your Identifiers.

Key Identifiers would be legal name, date of birth, last known address, employment history, last known telephone number, and last known email address.

The more information you can provide on the target, the better. Our intake process is very detailed and we would ask for as much information as possible.

The investigation process is very simple. Instructions can be sent to us via our secure online intake form.

Our investigation team will review your request. We may ask for additional information during the intake process. This can be done via email or telephone consultation. Once we completely understand the nature of your request and the reason for the investigation we will proceed to Payment of Retainer. The investigation will then start.

Unfortunately not all targets can be located. Some targets are homeless, transient, living temporarily with family/friends, or have a very weak paper trail.

Some targets are being pursued by creditors and hiding their location. We will provide you with a detailed update on the information that was obtained throughout the course of the investigation.

Locate investigations are very dependent on data base details. We can provide affidavits of attempt if needed for legal reasons. We will recommend sub-service if options are available.
